. John Arthur Winfield enlisted in the Hunts Cyclist Battalion some time before the 17th December 1915, when he was first recorded in their records. He was noted as living at 8 Germain Street, Huntingdon.
Little is known of his time in the H C B but it is recorded that he transferred to the Machine Gun Corps with the number 45471.
