The Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalions

. Under Battalion orders 158, issued by Lieut. Col. J.L. Stanley V.D., officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at The Vine Cottage, Chapel St. Leonards, Lincs. on 4th July 1917 at 6-00pm., and signed by W.L. Stephenson, ( 2l/t and acting Adjutant), orders being for the following day i.e. 5th July 1917 (Ref: 154), records indicate that he had been selected to attend 28th course of instruction in Anti - gas measures at Command School Otley assembling on 16th June 1917, at the time he was a Corporal in D Company. 290216 - H. V. Warrington.
