George Robinson E. Watts.

. Local newspaper entries indicate that by 2/1/1915 Lance Corporal G. R. E. Watts [A Co.] had been promoted to the rank of acting Corporal.
In a local paper dated 20/10/1916 Mr. Watts, of Hartford, has some anxiety about his son Corp.. G. R. E. Watts, Cyclist Battalion. A chum reported that he was killed on September 3^rd. Mr. Watts has since been informed thorough the Record Office, that his son was wounded, but nothing has been heard from Pte. Watts personally.
He is remembered at the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing on the Somme in France.
