From a local paper dated November 16th 1918 Private P.A. Thurley, Machine Gun Section, youngest son of Mr and Mrs LT. Thurley, Manor Farm, Old Fletton, died a prisoner of war in Germany. He was taken prisoner on March 22nd of this year and was sent to Lagarett, Ukraine Rasbatt, where he died from stomach trouble on August 8th. The sad news was received by his parents on Saturday through the Geneva Red Cross. 14/9/1918
