Alfred Tasker.

. He is remembered at the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing on the Somme in France.
Tasker Alfred, b Fenstanton, Hunts., enlisted Huntingdon, (St Ives), 267519 Pte., KIA 23/8/16 aged 23.

He served in the 1st Bucks Bn. Ox & Bucks Light infantry.

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 26/2/1915 Private A. Tasker had been promoted to the rank of Lance Corpl. (unpaid).

He is also remembered on the St. Ives War Memorial that is situated in the car park area off the main road and square running through the town.
