The Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalions

Herbert Hart.

. Herbert Hart enlisted into the Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion on the 26/10/1914 at St. Mary's Street, Huntingdon - the HQ of the unit in Huntingdon. He was allocate the HCB number of 767 and posted to the 2/1st Battalion. This was the Reserve Battalion. When he enlisted he gave his address as Coming from Somersham, Huntingdonshire.

. He served overseas and as the HCB were a Home Service Battalion - he was posted to the Machine Gun Corps with the Army number of 32810.

. He was demobilized on the 15-4-1919, so survived the war.
