Thomas Harry Coney.

. Thomas Harry was from St. Neots in Huntingdonshire and was born on the 19th June 1896.  The exact date of his joining the Huntingdonshire Cyclists is not known, but he is first recorded as a member in papers dated the 3rd November 1914.

Upon joining the HCB he gave his address as St. Neots, Huntingdonshire, his age as was 18 years.  Sadly no trace of his service records survives so his service has been obtained from all available sources.  When he enlisted in the HCB he was allocated the HCB number 359 and posted to D Company of the 1st/1st Battalion of the Hunts. Cyclist [Home Service ] Battalion.

Serving with the 1/1st he would have been sent 'coat watching' along the cliffs and beaches of Yorkshire.  The Battalion HQ being at Scarborough.
