Arthur E. Storey.

  Arthur was born April 21st. 1892 and baptised June 5th.1892 in Offord Cluny Church. He was the son of James & Rosseta Storey [nee Franklin] of Offord Darcy, Huntingdonshire.  James was noted as being a Labourer.

Arthur enlisted in the HCB at Huntingdon, the HQ in St. Mary's Street, and is first recorded there on the 14/5/1914 when he was private in the 2/1st Battalion with the HCB number of 309.  He gave his address as Offord Darcy, Huntingdonshire.
 

One local newspaper of the 4/1/1918 seems to indicate that he was a sergeant in the Australian contingent and was home on sick leave from the Western Front.
