From a local newspaper dated 21/8/1914  Motor cycles for service.  Last Tuesday Corpl. Reg. Parker inspected seven motor cycles prior to their being used for service.  

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 17th October 1914 Corporal R. G. Parker had been promoted to the rank of Sergeant at the time it was indicated that he was serving in C Company.

 Local newspaper entries indicate that by 17th October 1914 Sergeant R. G. Parker had been appointed Sergeant at the time it was indicated that he was serving in C Company as Motor cycle section.

Local newspaper entries indicate = 25/9/1914 = With the St. Ives Cyclists.  All the St. Ives Company of the Hunts. Cyclist Battalion were presented with cardigan jackets from the ladies of St. Ives last Friday.  They were also to receive two shirts and two pairs of socks each from the same source.  Corpl. Reg. Parker has been promoted acting Sergeant, of the transport section.
