Alfred Charles Peach

. Private 290626 2/1st H.C.B. - A Company - ? born at Abbots Ripton?, transferred from the H.C.B. into the1st Bedfordshire Regiment.
He was put on married rate of 6d per diem from 22/6/1917. His wife Mrs. Julia Alexandra Peach of Lambourne House, Oundle, Northants was taken on strength of married establishment from 22/6/1917. ref 154/1.

As 3/7395 a Private Alfred Peach was listed as being killed on 4th September 1916 aged 22. He is remembered on the Thiepval Memorial and is shown as being with 1st Battalion, The Bedford Regiment.

He was noted as being the son of Elizabeth Peach, 18, Cumberland Street, Houghton Regis, Beds and the late George Peach.
