Waiter Ernest Newell, London Regiment, Peterborough, died of wounds received
in action in Northampton Hospital on 12th November 1917. He was the son of
Mr Chas Newell, Dogsthorpe Road, Peterborough. DECEMBER 1st 1917 - Private W. E. Newell, London Regiment, formerly a G. N. employee at Peterborough, was killed in action on November 12th.4 September 1914 Pte. Newell was given 48 hours leave from Yorkshire to get married, 'F' & 'G' cos. gave him a clock and a set of bronzes, the presentation being made by Capt. Musk. |
