SEPTEMBER
23RD 1916 = Corporal
Ernest Medlock who was wounded in action on September 3rd has died in
hospital in France from the effects of gunshot wounds which necessitated
the amputation of his right arm. News of his death which occurred on the
12th inst, was officially conveyed to his wife on Saturday, much sympathy
is extended to Mr and Mrs. Charles Medlock of 57 South Street, Stanground,
in the loss of their only son. 14 (Service) Bat. Royal
Warwickshire Regt. Lance Corporal E. Medlock, he was promoted to a Corporal in the 2/1st Hunts. Cyclist Battalion by 14/9/1915. |
