Charles Archer Manning.

. Charles was born on September 11th. 1895 and was baptised on November 3rd. 1895 at Offord Cluny.
He was the son of William & Emma Manning [nee Franklin], both of Offord Darcy who were married in 1884, their marriage being recorded in the March Quarter of 1884, ref - St.Neots 3b, 385.

Upon enlistment he gave his address as coming from Offord Darcy.  No date is known for him joining the HCB but he was noted as being in the 3/1st Battalion.

C. A. Manning - He was one of fifty three men that formed part of a draft that was sent from Huntingdon to the 2/1st Hunts. Cyclists in Lincolnshire on the Saturday before the 21/1/1916.

One source indicates that he was awarded a Military Medal, but no trace can be found of this award.
