Sidney Charles Luff.


8/12/1916 - Pte. S. C. Luff, Berks. Regt., of Eynesbury, is in hospital suffering from shell wounds.

Sidney Charles Luff - Private 39414 of the 2nd Battalion, Royal Berkshire Regiment was Killed in action on Sunday 2/12/1917 aged only 19 years of age. Born and living at the time in Eynesbury had enlisted in the H C B at Huntingdon. He was the son of Stephen and Eliza Luff - 9 Ferras Avenue, Eynesbury, St. Neots, Hunts. Formerly he served as a private (1561) of the Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion. He is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium on panels 105 to 106 and 162.
