Local newspaper entries indicate that by 18th December 1914 Private F. C. Love had been promoted to the rank of Provisional Corporal at the time it was indicated that he was serving as soldier number 773 in the 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battn.

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 25/2/1916 Sergeant F. Love had been promoted to the rank of Company Quarter Master Sergeant.  

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 2/1/1915 Act. Corpl. F. C. Love [B Co.] had been promoted to the rank of acting Colour Sergeant. 

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 25/2/1916 Sergeant F. Love had been promoted to the rank of Company Quarter Master Sergeant.

Sergeant Frederick Charles Love - 290191 Under Battalion orders, [part 2] issued by Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 20th August 1918, and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 19th August 1918 at 5-0 p.m., [Territorials] records indicate that records indicate that he was in B company when he was admitted to the Winthorpe Auxiliary Hospital on the 19/8/1918.
