. P. T. Humphrey - His name appears on a list of appointments and promotions that appears in local papers on 9/4/1915. He was appointed acting paid Lance Corporal, from the rank of Private, in D company of the 2/1st Battalion.
Local newspaper entries indicate that by 9/4/1915 Private P. T. Humphrey had been promoted to the rank of Acting Paid Lance Corporal at the time it was indicated that he was serving in the 2/1st HCB - D Company.

Pte. P. T. Humphrey, by the 10/4/1915 he had been promoted to Acting Paid Lance Corporal in D Company of the 2/1st H C B.
