Harry David Hughes.

From a local newspaper dated June 8th 1918 Able Seaman H. D. Hughes, HG, Hawke Battalion, R N D, only son of Mr. H. Hughes of Star Road, Peterborough, has been reported missing since March 27th. He was home on leave earlier in the month, and returned to France on March 14th. Formerly in the 2nd Hunts Cyclists Battalion, he was transferred to the

R N D in June 1917.   Royal Naval Division - 63rd - Hawke Battn.  Died 27/3/1918

Joined Hawke Bn. 28/8/17.
