Frederick Hill.
From a local newspaper dated 1/9/1916 = Brampton Cyclist killed.
Pte. Fred Hill, son of Mrs. Hill, of Bell End Brampton, has been killed
by shrapnel.
He joined the Hunts. Cyclists during the early part of the war, and
was serving in France with the Warwicks. He is remembered at the Thiepval Memorial to the Missing on the Somme in France. |

48th South Midland Division. Killed in action on the Somme 19th August 1916 in
France & Flanders. Enlisted Huntingdon, resident Brampton. Next of kin
Brampton. Formerly 681, Hunts Cyclist Battalion. Commemorated on The Thiepval
Memorial. |
