The Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalions

Ernest Hemming.

. Lance Corporal Ernest Hemming who was attached to the 1/1st H.C.B. Transport Section was married to Miss Annie Woodcock who came from 3 Oxford Street Bridlington. They were married at the Quay Primitive Methodist Chapel at Bridlington, the marriage taking place on 24^th August 1916. They were married by Rev. Henry Woodcock, the bride was the only daughter & was given away by her father, the bridesmaid was Miss Maggie Houghton, the best man was L/C William Allen of the 1/1st HCB Transport section. They left Bridlington by the noon train for the south coast. They were presented with a silver tea service by the Transport Section. The wedding breakfast was held at the bride's residence.
