C. H. Grummitt.

. Local newspaper entries indicate that by 18th December 1914 Private C. H. Grummitt had been promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal at the time it was indicated that he was serving as soldier number 860 in the 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battn.  

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 9/4/1915 Lance Corporal C. H. Grummitt had been promoted to the rank of Acting Corporal at the time it was indicated that he was serving in the 2/1st HCB - D Company  

C H Grummitt - His name appears on a list of appointments and promotions that appears in local papers on 9/4/1915. He was appointed acting Corporal, from the rank of Lance Corporal, in D company of the 2/1st Battalion.

Lance Corporal C. H. Grummitt, by the 10/4/1915 he had been promoted to Acting Corporal in D Company of the 2/1st H C B.
