Alfred Green.

. Alfred Green enlisted in the Hunts Cyclist (Home Service) Battalion and was allocated the service number 732.

At the time of his enlistment Alfred gave his address as 2 Prior Terrace, St Germain Street, Huntingdon - this is only about 2 minutes walk from the H.Q. of the H.C.B..

Alfred enlisted 24 Oct 1914.  He was 18 years of age and a towering 5’3 ½” tall .  His fully expanded chest measurement was a whopping 34 inches and though his vision was good his physical development was fair.  

Alfred was discharged as medically unfit after serving 316 days; his Chelsea pension was £25 per week.
