. Local newspaper entries indicate that by 18th December 1914 Private J. Farrar had been promoted to the rank of Provisional Corporal at the time it was indicated that he was serving as soldier number 555 in the 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battn.
Local newspaper entries indicate that by 2/1/1915 Act. Corpl. J. Farrar [A Co.] had been promoted to the rank of acting Colour Sergeant.
