. Sergeant A. G. Clarke 290151 - 'A' Company HCB - Under Battalion orders, [part 2 - 182] issued by Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 4th August 1918, and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 3rd August 1918 at 1-0 p.m., [Territorials] records indicate that he was posted to the 3rd Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment on the 3rd August 1918 and struck off the strength of the HCB. Authority: O i C Records Letter A.57/3/4 dated 29/7/1918.

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 18th December 1914 Private A. G. Clark had been promoted to the rank of Provisional Corporal at the time it was indicated that he was serving as soldier number 551 in the 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battn. 

Local newspaper entries indicate that by 2/1/1915 Act. Corporal  A. G. Clarke [H Co.] had been promoted to the rank of acting Colour Sergeant.
