Charles Amos Baxter.

He was a private 39301, 6th Battalion, Princess Charlotte of Wales's (Royal Berkshire Regiment). Killed in action Tuesday 31st July 1917 in France & Flanders. He died age 22. Born Hail Weston, enlisted Huntingdon, resident Sapley. Son of Amos Baxter, of Church St., Wistow, Hunts. 

He was formerly 638 in the Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion. 

Buried in Hooge Crater Cemetery, Ieper, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium. 

Grave V. A. 8.

He was part of a contingent of 130 men of the Hunts. Reserve Battalion who had volunteered for active service in December 1914. They left from Huntingdon station in carriages attached to the 10:06 train.

   His grave is in Hooge cemetery = plot 5-A-*.
