. | John Henry Ashley - Able Seaman, R/3148, Hawke Bn. R.N. Div., Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve who died on Tuesday, 6th November 1917and is buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery, Poperinge, West-Vlaanderen, Belgium in grave XIII. B. 10. He joined Hawke Battalion of the BEF on 28/8/17 He previously served as 290282 Pte. 2/1st Huntingdon Cyclist Battalion. He enlisted on the 10/4/15 and died of wounds in the 61st CCS on 6/11/17 of gun shot wounds in the buttock and penetrating the abdomen received on 4/11/17. He was born on the 21/7/1897 the son of William & Ann Ashley, of Bridge Place, Godmanchester, Huntingdonshire. | ||
