Alfred Allen

He was part of a contingent of 130 men of the Hunts. Reserve Battalion who had volunteered for active service in December 1914. They left from Huntingdon station in carriages attached to the 10:06 train.

Alfred Allen private number 203388 in the 1/5th Royal Warwickshire Regiment died on 22-8-17,  He was the son of Robert Allen, of Upwood, and the late Emma Allen. He was formerly private 849 in the Hunts Cyclists Battalion. He is remembered on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Zonnebeke, Belgium.
