Lieut. Allen Wilson and Sec. - Lieut. H P E Dawson, late of the
Cyclist Battalion, are attached to the Lincolnshire Regiment at the front,
and are serving together.
Local paper = 17/2/1917Capt. Aubrey, Lieut. Read, Lieut. Plowman, Lieut. Allan Wilson, and Lieut. Dawson, were in a draft of officers that left for the front on Tuesday. Local paper = 25/8/1916 = Buckden Men Wounded. Pte. H.. Usher, of the Hunts. Cyclists, attached to the Bucks. Regiment, has been wounded, and is in hospital in France. H P ref 229 10/11/1916The following Second Lieutenants of the Hunts. Cyclists have been promoted temporary Lieutenants; - F. J. Read, P. Plowman, A. W. Wilson, W. T. Stephenson, J. E. Gripper, F. T. Burdett. 2nd Lieutenant A. E. Wilson. - Under Battalion orders 188, issued by Lieut. Col. J. L. Stanley V. D., officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Well Camp, Alford, Lincs. on 19th August 1916 at 1.30 p.m., and signed by J. S. C. Musk, (Capt. and Adjutant), records indicate that he was Subaltern of the day for the 20th. August 1916. 10/11/1916 - The following Second Lieutenants of the Hunts. Cyclists have been promoted temporary Lieutenants; - F. J. Read, P. Plowman, A. W. Wilson, W. T. Stephenson, J. E. Gripper, F. T. Burdett. Departures - Captain E. A. Wilson M.C. - Under Battalion orders, issued by Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, Commanding Officer, 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness, on 2nd August 1918 at 5:00 p.m., and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), orders being for the following day i.e. 3rd August 1918, records indicate that he was ordered to report to the Embarkation Commandant Folkstone, for service overseas, 19/7/18.
