2nd Lieutenant W. J. Satchell - by mid December 1914 he had now been posted to H Company of the Hunts. Cyclist Reserve Battalion. [2/1st H.C.B.]

From a local paper dated 10/11/1916 = Second Lieut. (temporary Lieutenant) W. J. Satchell, of the Hunts. Cyclists, is promoted to temporary Captain, and Second Lieutenants F. J. Read, P. Plowman, A. W. Wilson, W. L. Stephenson, J. E. Gripper, and F. T. Burditt are to be temporary Lieutenants.

Captain W. J. Satchell - Under Battalion orders, issued by Lieutenant Colonel M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 5th July 1918, and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 4th July 1918 at 7-00 p.m., records indicate that he was given leave of absence from 12/7/1918 to 18/7/1918 inclusive.

Captain W. J. Satchell- Under Battalion orders, [Part 2] issued by Lieut. Col. M. D. Barkley, officer commanding 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness on 15th September 1918, and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), on 14th September 1918 at 5-00 p.m., [Regulars] records indicate that he was allocated the additional sum of 16/3d in respect of additional housing allowance for part of May, June, July and this sum has been placed with the officer.
