Cecil Augustus Jamblin.

. On enlistment he was living at New Road in Peterborough.  He was a Second Lieutenant in the 2/1st Hunts. Cyclists being Gazetted on 20th March 1915 - records available show he served in this rank and position until at least June 1916. 

Previously he served as a Sergeant in the 6th (cyclist) Battalion Suffolk Regiment.

By August 1916, and until June 1917 he has been traced as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Cyclist Corps.

He had a daughter born on the 6th July 1917 6 Jul - Vivian Ena daughter of  Cecil Augustus Jamblin a 2nd Lieut. 69th Div. Cyclists Co (Bank Clerk) & Dorothy May form Collen of New Rd, Peterborough - birth at Grove Villa, Park Grove, Knaresborough.

He survived to serve in WWII on Radar as a Squadron Leader and was later awarded the MBE.
