. Ven. Alexander George De La Pryme - Under Battalion orders, issued by Lieutenant Colonel M. D. Barkley, Commanding Officer, 2/1st Huntingdonshire Cyclist Battalion issued at Beechlands, Skegness, on 2nd August 1918 at 5:00 p.m., and signed by W. J. Satchell (Captain and Adjutant), orders being [Territorials] - issue 181 - for the following day i.e. 3rd August 1918, records indicate that he reported his arrival for duty as a Church of England temporary Chaplain to the Forces at Skegness on the 1/8/18 and was attached to D Company for rations from 1/8/1918 inclusive. The Authority was War Office letter Clergy/Gen. No. 4055 [Chaplains] dated 19/7/18.
